Glonass-M satellite successfully placed into the preprogrammed orbit

29 May 2016 at 11:44 MT the launch vehicle (LV) Soyuz-2.1b with upper stage Fregat and Glonass-M №753 satellite successfully lifted off from Plesetsk Space Center. The launch was performed by specialists of Defense Ministry and specialists of Russian aerospace industry.

The first three stages of the Soyuz LV have taken the Fregat upper stage and Glonass satellite into low orbit just short of nine minutes after liftoff. Then the reignitable Fregat took over the task of hauling the satellite on the preprogrammed orbit. As scheduled, the Glonass satellite successfully kicked-off the Fregat upper stage.

29 May 2016 at 15:16 MT Glonass-M №753 satellite (built by JSC Academician M.F. Reshetnev INFORMATION SATELLITE SYSTEMS) was placed into the preprogrammed orbit and registered by the facilities of the Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Centre. Ground control established communications with it. The stable telemetry link shows that onboard satellite systems are functioning normally.
